On every buying trip we meet pieces that are not yet ready for the floor. A limited objet, a designer's next season, a single piece we cannot leave behind. We reserve them here first, at the pre-order rate of fifteen percent, before they reach the shop.

Customer ServiceA pre-order reserves a piece before it reaches the floor. Some are limited objets we find on a buying trip. Others are a designer's next season, shown to us early in the studio. You reserve while the window is open, and we deliver once the piece is ready.
Payment is taken at checkout, at the pre-order rate shown on the page, and that settles your reservation. In the rare case we cannot fulfill a piece, we refund you in full.
Each piece carries an estimated ship date on its page. Pre-order pieces are made or released after the window closes, so timing follows the studio. We write to you the moment yours leaves for New York, with tracking.
Makers work to their own season, and a date can shift. If yours changes we write to you first with the new estimate. You are free to keep the reservation or step away with a full refund.
While the window is open you may change or release a reservation for a full refund. Once it closes and the piece enters production, limited and made to order pieces are final, which we note on each page.
Yes. In stock pieces can ship right away, or we hold the order and send it complete when your pre-order is ready. Tell us which you prefer at checkout, and there is no second shipping fee either way.
The fifteen percent rate holds for the life of the window. If a piece returns to the floor afterward it returns at full. Should the studio's price move before we settle, we honor the rate you reserved at.
Pre-order runs are small and they close quietly. If a window has closed, write to us or join the Dispatch, and we will tell you if it returns.
